Streaming Services: On-Campus Edition

If you live on-campus at your university, make sure to take advantage of the streaming services offered at your school. Most universities offer Philo Edu as their cable provider, so if you’re already living on-campus, go ahead and signup. It should be free since you’re already paying to live on-campus. Two other premium streaming services that universities are offering for free are HBO GO and MAX GO. All you have to do is sign into both sites with the login information you would use at your university.

The Free Streaming Service

No one wants to shell out extra money by committing to a cable service, especially students. If you’re in a position where your parents are kind enough to let you use their cable service when you move out, use it! Sign into your parent’s cable company online by using their login and password and get access to all the shows and movies you would if you were watching TV at their house.

The Three-for-the-Price-of-One Streaming Service

If you are already utilizing Spotify premium for students, good job! Now did you know you also get Hulu and Showtime for free? All you have to do is log into your Spotify account and scroll over to a tab that says, “Your Services.” You can literally get three premium services all for the price of one just by signing up on Spotify as a student. These are the rare moments it saves you money to be in college.

The Low-Cost Streaming Service

Amazon prime student is a godsend when it comes to ordering your college textbooks on the fly; but did you know they also offer TV shows and movies? If you’re already paying for a prime student account, make sure to take advantage of this great add-on. An alternative to the obvious cheapest options is to sign up for Netflix. Unfortunately, Netflix doesn’t offer a student discount but if you just can’t get enough of their original shows and movies, then go ahead and splurge.
